Senior Sales Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an ambitious and technically strong Senior Sales Engineer, based in Hyderabad, to drive sales of Schenergix’s advanced pharmaceutical processing solutions. This role combines technical expertise, solution selling, and business development. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, managing customer accounts, and supporting the full sales cycle — from lead generation to contract closure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Hot Melt Extrusion systems, isolators, and continuous processing equipment to pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturers in India and the broader region.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, processes, and regulatory requirements to propose appropriate technical solutions.
  • Manage the full sales process: lead generation, technical presentations, proposal preparation, negotiation, and closure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including R&D, production, procurement, and senior management.
  • Collaborate with the design, project, and service teams to ensure customer requirements are fully captured and delivered.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling technical and commercial presentations.
  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and business development goals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in pharmaceutical process technologies.
  • Represent Schenergix Technologies at industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related technical field (MBA in Marketing or Business preferred).
  • 2–4 years of experience in technical sales of capital equipment, process machinery, or pharmaceutical equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, GMP standards, and continuous processing technologies.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships and influence decision-makers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with CRM tools is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across India and occasionally overseas.
