Job Summary

We are seeking two skilled Mechanical Fitters to join our assembly and manufacturing team. The successful candidates will play a key role in the assembly, fitting, and installation of advanced pharmaceutical processing equipment. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and fit components for Hot Melt Extrusion systems, isolators, and continuous processing equipment to engineering specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical diagrams, and assembly instructions.
  • Carry out precise mechanical fitting, alignment, and adjustment of parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Work with machine tools, hand tools, and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with tolerances.
  • Conduct functional checks and assist with equipment testing and validation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, welders, electricians, and assembly teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with GMP and health & safety regulations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of assembly processes and practices.
  • Support occasional on-site installation or servicing of equipment at customer facilities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Recognized apprenticeship or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Polytechnic Diploma) or National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) / National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) Level 5–6, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in mechanical fitting, assembly, or maintenance of process equipment (pharmaceutical, chemical, food, or similar industry preferred).
  • Strong ability to read and work from engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Skilled in the use of precision tools and measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, or rotating equipment is advantageous.
  • Hands-on problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer installations and support.
