Assembly Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Assembly Manager to lead our assembly operations. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the assembly, integration, and testing of advanced pharmaceutical processing systems, ensuring they meet stringent quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, proven leadership ability, and a focus on operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the assembly team, ensuring high standards of productivity, safety, and quality.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the assembly of Hot Melt Extrusion systems, isolators, and continuous processing equipment.
  • Oversee equipment integration, mechanical fitting, electrical assembly, and system testing.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and international regulatory standards during assembly processes.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, automation, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and optimize workflows.
  • Establish and maintain assembly procedures, documentation, and best practices.
  • Train and mentor assembly staff, promoting skill development and cross-functional expertise.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve product reliability.
  • Manage assembly schedules, resources, and priorities to meet customer project deadlines.
  • Ensure safe working practices and compliance with health & safety regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in equipment assembly management, ideally in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or process equipment manufacturing.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, automation integration, and pharmaceutical processing equipment.
  • Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and ISO quality standards.
  • Hands-on expertise in assembly, fitting, and troubleshooting of complex equipment.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly documentation.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
